jtr "breakdown" help

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

jtr "breakdown" help

Unread post by nasten8dogg » Thu Jul 28, 2005 9:30 am

I need help with the breakdown in the middle of the riff jam on jtr. I can't hear when the chord changes are or how the rhythm goes. Does anyone have a clear audio clip of this part.
thanks

ok thanks a lot. I thought it was more complicated. I think the sax line is what kept throwing me off, plus the guitar on folsom field is turned down so low for that song

That's what I originally thought when I got mine, but there are quite a few 6 string songs that sound pretty cool on the 12.

I was worried about that too when I bought my 12 string. But there are a number of DMB songs on the 12, and its cool to try others to see how they sound. The riff to Stay is kinda cool on it, I think. So is the Nature intro to Billies, but thats hard to play sometimes. I also try and find other songs by other artists to try. If you ever get a 12 string you won't play it nearly as much as your 6, but its cool to have and I think it makes you a better guitar player since it is harder to play than a 6 string.
