READ REPLIES TO OSW?

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Random movie quote to make you seem hip and "with it": The food court is downstairs. The cookie stand is upstairs. It's not like we're talking quantum physics here.

First off, starting a new thread for this, was pointless. Not to be a dick, but this tends to happen a lot on these boards, dont get discouraged, somebody says one thing and someone picks up on it and next thing you know theyre off on a tangent and the original question is lost. Just write back (in the same topic) that you still need help and can someone please answer my question. So anyways, youre question was kinda confusing but for the verse of OSW:

Code: Select all

Verse
E:--------------------------
B:--------------------------
G:-----7----8/10-10--x-x-x-- <---finger 4
D:---8------8/10-10--x-x-x-- <---finger 3
A:-6-----------------x-x-x--
E:-------6-----------x-x-x--
   1 3 2 1
The numbers below the fingerings are for what fingers to use. 1 = pointer, 2=middle and so on. So you put your pointer on the a-string 6th fret, ring on the d-string 8th fret and middle on the g-string 7th fret and pick those three notes out then move your pointer up to the e-string 6th fret and pick that. Leave your fingers where they are and put your pinky on the g-string 8th fret now, and what I do is lay my pointer finger across the string behind the 8th fret so it mutes the other strings. You strum the g&d string 8th fret, slide up to the tenth fret on those two strings then lift your fingers up a bit a play a few muted strums, then go back and do it all over. I hope that helps.
