Tim's Solo During Two Step Intro

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Tim's Solo During Two Step Intro

Unread post by shark54 » Mon Jun 06, 2005 8:07 pm

So I've seen a lot of people looking for this one around the boards, and now I'm lookin for it too.

Does anyone have this tabbed out or know where I can find it tabbed out? Perhaps somewhere on this board?

If you're not sure what I'm talking about, I'm refering to the parts Tim plays while Dave is doing this:

E:-------------
B:-------------
G:-10---9---3--
D:-x----x---x--
A:-8----7---1--
E:-10---8---3\-

Thanks!

do you have a particular show in mind of what you want?
For us living any other ways was nuts. with all the goodie-goodies working shitty jobs for bum pay checks, took the subway work and worried about their bills were dead. they were suckers, they had no balls. if we wanted something we just took it, and if anybody complained twice they got hit so hard believe me they never complained again

I'm not sure what you mean by "top one of those threads"...?

I'll be a bit more specific, take the version of Two Step on the Crash album... durin the intro, right from the beginning you can hear Tim playing fills... I'd love to see those tabbed out...

to "top" a thread is to make a post on an old thread like this one to bring that thread back up to the top.

Here are a couple of ideas for lead parts to two step. First is the little run during luter two step. Rhytym not indicated but you shoule be able to hear what part it is. Drone the d string and play in the Dm scale and you have the basic idea tims uses in parts. I play the lead in DADGAD, so i tab few ideas. Time and rhytym not indicated either, its just posions and melodies to provide and idea to use when improvising.

Code: Select all

DADGAD tuning:

Play around w these notes and position, this is just to show some positons and patterns to help imrovise and melodize........and rhyme.

----5--6---5--6-------------------------------------
---7--7---7--7---7--7---7---10--------------------

-------------------------------6----------------------
-7p0----5p0------5 / 7-----7-------------------------------

Pretty simple, just make up your own leads and parts w a DADGAD tuning and you will be pretty cool. There are a whole bunch more but im really lazy and high, this took like 20 min.
