Strumming pattern to Warehouse

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Strumming pattern to Warehouse

Unread post by the_drewster » Sun Jun 05, 2005 2:37 pm

Central Park. Just the long intro.

What is it?

I sit there picking away like a fairy. I want to hit the strings like he does.

HTF does he do it????

Man, you guys are hot.

Stop Time Intro(Cont.)
E--------------------------------
B-x--x--x--x----x--x--x--x-x-x---
G-x--x--x--5----x--x--x--5-x-x---
D-x--x--9-------x--x--9----7-x---
A-x--7----------x--7---------8---
E-5-------------5----------------

See the first hit on the 5th fret. Is that hit several times? (DUDUDUDU) and the seventh string then (DU)?

Hot as in quick....

Pat. Thanks for the clip. It slowed down really helps.

Are some strings hit at the same time, even though they're not in the tab? I've got the strumming pattern now, but it's difficult to hit the right strings when strumming.

On the ascending notes, You have to fret each note before you hit it. But on the descending notes of the pattern you do have to fret the 5-7-8 and then DU each note whilst keeping the muting.
Forget about the reasons and the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away

Yea really, you are just making it to complicated.

Sit down, listen to Warehouse.

Then try to play along with it.

Don't try to be so neat, do what praisedave just said, just rip the shit out of the strings. haha ;)
