So I'm gettin new strings....

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

I like the Daddario's EJ17 medium Phosphor Bronze. I don't like the coated strings. They sound a little dull to me. I'd say every time you change your strings, get a different set. Then you can decide wich one sounds better on your guitar.

I like Elixir Nanoweb lights and Martin SP lights. Theyre both coated strings, I always get coated now so if thats what your looking for those are pretty good, I dont know about noncoated strings.

hmm... you know you need new strings when your fingers are hurting so incredibly bad that it hurts to type because of the little pressure on the tips..

Not sure if that's the strings :) Looks like you need to take a break, though...

I use the D'Addario EXP 16....and I'm sure Dave uses the EXP 17's which are the extra light gauge while I, use the light gauge. They are coated but they feel and sound great, they don't have a thick coat on them at all but they last twice as long and keep that great new string shine, well IMO.

17's are mediums aren't they? :? and 16's are lights. I'm not a big fan of the coated strings but I'm not opposed to trying them.
