Joy Ride?, Sugar Will?, Crazy Easy?

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Joy Ride has a studio cut on the B-Sides so it will not be on any album...most likely anyway.

This is pure speculation, but I don't think Sugar Will was finished because Dave never seemed to get the lyrics down. I saw them play it 7 times, and have multiple boots of it...each time, his lyrics are different, if nothing more than mumbles.
Dave didn't seem to spend a hell of a lot of time writing lyrics for this album. Every song is sparse to say the least. Hello Again was pretty much done completely on the summer tour, but Sugar Will, although a lovely song and one of my favs, never got going lyrically.

So that's why I don't think they made it on this album.
I hope they do nail down some lyrics though and let this be one of those "live only" gems.
joe.

Someone with some nice recording equipment should put together a version of crazy easy. I love listening to live concerts, but I also love having a copy of every song I like in a studio format.

His last show that I was able to go to was sometime last summer, at the Verison Wireless ampitheater in San Antonio. They played four songs that I hadn't heard before. I wrote down the whole set:

Gray Street
Dreaming Tree
Joy Ride
What Would You Say
Sugar Will
Where Are You Going
When The World Ends
Pantala Naga Pampa
Repunzel
Crazy Easy
Lie In Our Graves
Hello Again
I did It
Bartender
Tripping Billies
One Sweet World
Stay

Encore:

Granny
Too Much

-Hello Again was the only one out of the four that I couldn't compare to any other DMB song... I compared Sugar Will to Jimi Thing, Crazy Easy to Seek Up, and Joy Ride to What You Are. As for Hello Again, I was clueless. I still enjoy it though...

I don't know about how much I agree with those comparisons. I do wish they would have finished them and put them on the cd. I really got into Good Good Time and Joy Ride. I'm sure they will be played throughout this tour though.

This is also what i was thinkin in my comparisons. Keep in mind, there are only so many DMB songs to compare it to.

I hope Joy Ride goes the route of Granny. Played live, never released.

Um... It was released 05/10/05.

But I hope what you mean is right. As for comparisons...

Crazy-Easy = Captain

Joyride = Rapunzel

Sugar Will = Two Step

Hello Again = Halloween
