Intro to Warehouse on Live at Luther
Intro to Warehouse on Live at Luther
Song: Warehouse (Live at Luther College version.)
Tabbed by: William Hart (WLHart@onr.com)
Tuning: E-A-D-G-B-E
Comments: Tabbed from Live at Luther College. (This is not the stop time intro.)
Tim Reynolds is known for getting unique sounds out of his guitar by utilizing every noise the instrument produces. Aside from “Stream” and “Screaming from the Minerets,” this version of “Warehouse” is the album’s best showcase of Tim Reynolds’ style and ability to play the guitar.
During the beginning of “Warehouse” on Live at Luther College, Tim creates a unique intro to the song. This is extreemly easy to play while, at the same time, still sounds professional. NOTE: This is only the tablature for the music that does not require a pedal. Also, I didn’t take the time to count out all the dashes, so it’ll help to listen to the song to make sure you get the right timing down.
Very beginning:
E----------------------------------------------------------------
B----------------------------------------------------------------
G---------------------------X-X-X-X-X-X-X-X-----------------------
D---------------------------X-X-X-X-X-X-X-X-----------------------
A---------------------------9-9-9-9-9-9-9-9-----------------------
E---7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-----7-7-7-7-7-7-7-7-----------------------
(for 24 sec.) (for 12 sec.)
Then the song picks up.
***IMPORTANT: Again, this just shows what to play, not the precise timing. Strum the each of the following for 4 counts each if you don’t have the song to guide you.
***
E----------------------------------------------------------------
B---X------0----------------------------------------------------
G---X------11-----11--------------------------------------------
D---9------9------9---------------------------------------------
A---9------9------0---------------------------------------------
E---7------7------7---------------------------------------------
This next one is a little tricky to describe. Mute D, A, and E over the 11th fret and gradully begin to press down lightly untill you produce somewhat of a half-muted note. The sound of your pick strumming should be about the same volume as the sound the last three strings produce.
E---7-------------------------------------------------------------
B---9-------------------------------------------------------------
G---9-------------------------------------------------------------
D---X11-----------------------------------------------------------
A---X11-----------------------------------------------------------
E---X11-----------------------------------------------------------
For most, this is enough to get the picture. If you’ve heard the song, this is all you need to put it all together. Right after this, the two lead right into the main verse. (As tabbed by jkanter)
E:-----------------------------------------------
B:-x--x--x--x-x-x--x-x-x----x--x--x--x-x-x--x-x--
G:-x--x--x--7-x-x--x-x-x----x--x--x--7-x-x--x-x--
D:-x--x--11---9-x--x-x-x----x--x--11---9-x--x-x--
A:-x--9---------10-x-x-x----x--9---------10-9-7--
E:-7---------------x-x-x----7--------------------

haha jkanter tabbed that final part, so i cut and pasted and up popped the faces... You have to make that face while playing it, or the song doesn't sound right. I also tabbed this by ear befor looking at y'alls passion intros. I guess its a good thing that they are so similar. haha. You see that I joined last night, so I haven't had a chance to check out the tabs posted in the forums...
Anyways, as far as the main verse, I got the album/Luther version down, but for some reason I'm not getting the right sound for the stop time intro.
I've always meant to learn it since its such a popular one, but when Dave does the stop time intro, it sounds a lot more full than mine. (My exact same problem with Gray Steet.)

The post if for my tab. If you're gonna say anything bad say it constructively about the tab. Honestly I was under the impression that the site was about Dave's music, not some internet forum heirarchy. I'm glad you laughed becuase your post is a waste of space and a waste of time. At least filmdude100 had something to say about the song.Kukini wrote:AWESOME! Noob humor, gotta love it. I laughed.WLHart wrote:Well I was playing the song Grey Street on my twelve string. Yes, yes, get a life. Your number of posts now means nothing to me after you contributed nothing to the thread. For all I know, you posted over 2500 times by writing worthless posts like that last one. Yea, i expect you to write back, but it will be equally at dumb, and amusing only to yourself... Go play dungeons and dragons, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Anyways, I guess I am the only one who voted. I gave it a 7 because it looks like about every other passion intro tab I have done. If you did it without knowing what was being played then congrats.
Whoa? Tampon outta the ass please. I was complimenting you on the humor like mlb said but I'm not sure what pissed you off about my post? Want me to say something about the tab?WLHart wrote:The post if for my tab. If you're gonna say anything bad say it constructively about the tab. It's good, along with the 40 other Passion Intro tabs that have been posted. I understand you don't know how to search yet and I'm not asking you too, but there's like 50 threads about this and I just liked how you made fun of filmdude, cuz face it, it's fun. (joking filmdude). But honestly, this is the reason I took a long rest from the boards, people like you take a little ignorable post that and blow up? And for what? Nothing, it's an internet message board. And if you look back at my posts yea, maybe 1/2 of them are useless junk but I have spent many an hour helping people out around here, so before you go acusing me of shit, look it up, and in the mean time, stop making so many threads.
