Thank you.

I use a little bit of my 1st finger and pinkie on both songs.
My "gitter" was my best investment

for billies i guess it would be the first finger or third finger, depending on what the chord is. try leaving the d string open on that main riff, it sounds good...

does dave leave the D open?

i tried to mute, and it's actually kinda hard for me to NOT leave it open...then i think it sounds good anyway....

i dont think he leaves it open, but he may sometimes, i have always left it open...whatever you like. maybe solo it sounds better like that, but with tim or the band he mutes it...

Yeah, I agree about the D on Billies. I think it sounds much more full open, and in general, I find it to be more trouble than it's worth to mute it.

yeah, if i try to mute it, it feels unatural. when i play it freely, i leave the string to ring..

you mean the d string.....anyway, with two step, i guess it would be your first finger...just lay your hand a certain way that you are pressing the frets and muting that string, it can't really be explained well i guess.

Oh, didn't even see the part about Two Step.

Yeah, it's index-finger muting. Just lay it flat across the strings, basically, and you're golden.

to go a little further, when doing two step, during the intro there is a special kind of muting that you have to do, basically you lift and press and lift and press your fingers, to get that choppy type of sound, so the chord is only heard on a certain beat, does that make sense???
