Filming D&T - should I do it?

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Filming D&T - should I do it?

Unread post by KevinGTArch » Thu Mar 20, 2003 1:19 pm

So I just came up on the call list from the library - the DV camera I was on the waiting list finally came in. I was getting it to shoot footage for a class but I have it checked out until 3.31.03.

I was already planning on taking 35mm pictures but what's the take on video. Anyone ever tried it? It's a smaller camera but what's the policy on taping and how would you get it past security? Just curious to see if anyone has tried this...

I would have to say no. If you do get caught you risk them being more suspicous for people such at Ethan Sinclair who has been doing it for a while. I would have to say no becuase they could also screw you other ways...including kicking you out FOR SURE. THat's my suggestion...peace man

We snuck in a camera to a DMB show, but we had a girl with big overalls with us. If you have that maybe, but who knows. I don't think they'll kick you out, rather they'll just take your tape. But then again it's a D&T show so it may be more difficult. So try it, but be prepared for failure.

Please don't.... violations of the band's policies will make them start to think twice about allowing us to record and trade shows and that would just suck ass...

Not to mention it's not your camera and if security confiscated it, you'd be screwed.
