Minarets Timmy Fills L@LC

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Or at least a hint where to start :)

thanks!

Felt an emptiness inside to which he just could not relate

request them on the timmy parts thread.

For starters, Learn and become proficient with the A harmonic minor scale, but with E as the bass note (to match the song's key). Get yourself some delay and looping pedals. Or, if you have some money to spend, get the main tab book.

Ahhhh why would you play an A harmonic minor scale
over an E groove?? A minor is basically C major with
A as the root. C major with an E root is E phrygian.
A really kool scale to solo with on this is E Bhrairav.
Gives a very middle eastern feel!

My mistake, I use an A bass note to orient myself with that scale on the fret board. I rarely ever use the A bass note when soloing in that harmonic key, but dave plays it when he does that riff before singing "screaming from the minarets....." Regardless, proficiency in harmonic scales is very important.
By the way, where can I learn that E Bhrairav scale?
