Is Billies really that hard to play? It was the first song i learned and the only part i really had trouble with was getting the fingering right on the intro and chorus, i orginally had to slide up and down but got the rest down pretty well.

sit down with L@LC, a joint and the tab from this site for about two hours and(assuming your practicing and not eating or staring at the wall) you should have a pretty comprehensive idea on how the song works. really, when you practice enough and the day dave's style hits you, you feel fucking invinsible!
i just don't like the idea of "finding an easier way" when you could just focus and get it down the right way.
practice the nature intro until that stretch is a natural thing and then the verse really shouldn't be much to figure out.
good luck.

Or just get so drunk that you feel no pain in your fingers. Thats how I learned Satellite.
Forget about the reasons and the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away

Satellite is soo much fun to play, especially really muted and fast. Or really really fast with tons of distortion!

I always play sloppy when I'm drunk. When you are high you still can't feel pain and it sounds so much cooler. Nothing beats playing guitar while you're high. Well except maybe one thing.
Anyway, I will never learn a Dave song any other way than the way he plays it. Trying to relearn a song a different way is a bitch.

i agree 100%, but when i was a new guitar player and wanted to play some song. (hard songs when you are new) i played the easy once just to sing and play them.. but that was then,
