Does anyone else do this??!!

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

The other day I went into the Guitar Center in my neighborhood just to play cool guitars! Does anyone else find themselves doing this?? Muahahah its so fun.
"Excuse me sir, I would like to buy a Martin guitar between 800 and 1000 dollars. Could you help me?"
all too easy....

i was playin a Martin that was like DX something or other and i saw the Martin HD-28 and HD-35. i was like...oh god oh god oh god....dave has the 28...muuahahahah i was like shaking as i was taking it off the wall oh so slowly. it made billies sound like live at LC and storytellers..... oooooooo i wish i had $2500....................................

i find myself doing that quite often. it's so much fun because at guitar center they don't really bother you, they just let you play the hell out of their guitars. so i just go to the humidifier room with the taylors and martins and lose myself.

True that. Guitar center is the only place I feel welcome. Anywhere else it's like I am committing a crime.

Really? I mean, at guitar center I dont feel shy about picking anything up, but they bug the fuck out of me there. They dont leave you alone and let you play. And then they always take the guitar you're looking at, play some lame little "showoff" riff for you and then proceed to ask "Doesnt it sound great??!!" I feel much more comfortable at my local independent shop. I guess some are different though.

i love going in to play stuff, and you're right, i feel welcome at guitar center. the smaller places are sometimes crowded because of the small rooms, and everyone is a jackass at sam ash, save for one guy...

Ya... I don't have a guitar center... a sam ash... or a local independent guitar store.

I've got Musician's Friend baby!

My guitar center is right next to the dog food store, so guess who is always in charge of dog food shopping!!!!!!

There has been a used Taylor 455 12 string on sale there for a while and I visit it often

man GTC is pretty cool. But i got this place a city away from me called Willies. They have some of the nicest shit I've ever seen and they let you play. They'll even come and sit down and jam with you if it's slow. I haven't been there in a long time though

i usually go to the Daddy's Junky Music store near me to test out guitars. thats where i bought my 12-string and i think my acoustic-electric. they have never bothered me there, they just ask if i need any help, and i just say im wanna look at some acoustic guitars, then they let me be, its so great. i love that store, they have such good prices too
