does dave finger pick?

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Unread post by markTR » Wed Jan 19, 2005 8:34 pm

i apologize in advance for a question that might seem dumb to some of you guys, but does dave normally use a pick when playing, does he finger pick, or does he mostly mix it up?

i've seen the DVD's but its hard to tell, so i thought i'd ask

Isn't good good time fingerpicked?
Forget about the reasons and the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away

Im getting more and mor into John Mayer which is a bit more fingerpicking. Really getting me into slapping and strumming the hell out of my thumb. Espeacially with songs like clarity.

ok, the outro for #41 is fingerpicked. Grace Is Gone is always fingerpicked/strummed. Everyday solo is fingerpicked and strummed. Oh is fingerpicked and strummed. Some Devil is. Where Are You Going is sometimes fingerpicked. Dave's Jimi Thing solo is fingerpicked. The intro to PNP=>Rapunzel is fingerpicked. X-Mas song is sometimes fingerpicked. Sleep To Dream Her is fingerpicked. That's all I can think of.

Dave fingerpicks some parts of "Gravedigger" on the Gorge DVD. I thinks it's during the bridge.
Sounds beautiful, but sooo fast.
