Hello and a question
Hey everyone I'm new here, but at the same time not new. I have been reading these boards and using this site for all my Dave tab needs, and it is definitely the best. I finally signed up for the boards tonight, and I'm here to say hello. Hello! I just have one quick question; I have been playing Dave music for almost a year now, and it sounds pretty good. However, I can't seem to get that same "crisp" sound that Dave has. If anyone has any tips or suggestions, please let me know. Thanks alot, and by the way, my name is John.
Peace
Peace

- Random movie quote to make you seem hip and "with it": I'm thinking about getting metal legs. It's a risky operation, but it'll be worth it.

Use extra light strings!! That is the best advice that I can give you. Martin Marquis are the ones I use, and they get the job done nicely. They will give you the percusive sound, plus they will be clear and bright. They don't last long if you play all day everyday, (they get dirty quickly) but they are strong enough to last through a four hour gig. My bandmates don't seem to have as much success with them as me though.
Peace!!

Peace!!
