raised b

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Can anyone give me the link on how to tune a guitar into raised B tuning, please?

This is not in the faq I don't belive, but it may be useful. Cherry lane recommends the following gauges for a raised B guitar in order from the lowest string to the highest.

.039
.029
.018
.014
.010
.016

I am not sure how this compares to the faq's guide.
I know a lot of people recommend getting the neck adjusted since the new tuning will put extra tension on your guitar. However this might depend on what gauge strings you choose to tune up. If you go with extra light, I would imagine it won't be too bad. If you go with a regular set, take for example the D'addario extended play mediums, the lowest gauge starts at .56, I would imagine tuning this up would kill the neck.

Lights work fine, but extra lights make it easier to get the high tensions of the F# and stuff... I used lights and it sounded fine. Just a little scary tuning it.

I vote from now on we just tell everyone to take their normal strings and tune up. Haha.
