could someone tell me how dave plays the mutes on Watchtower during Farmaid 2002... i have been playin and listenin, and i just cant get it to soudnt the same... thanks

Could you be a little more specific as to what part you are talking about??? I'm not aware of a whole lot of mutes he does in this song except for the E string mute in the intro.

i believe u are just talking about the jam part etc:...all hes doing is muting hard in between chord progressions. Am SLAP SLAP SLAP G SLAP SLAP SLAP F SLAP SLAP SLAP ETC...he bangs the shit out of it...

so simply inbetween chords mute all the strings and fast and rhytmically slap them up and down...

I believe thats what ur asking..drop a line if u want a recording or need more help etc
