So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Granny tabs

Unread post by DontPanic89 » Tue Nov 30, 2004 6:02 pm

Hey, I was trying to play the granny tabs on this site but the main verse doesn't quite sound the same. Woundered if any of you guys had a better version of it.

Yep, he's right. There is no tab on this sight that isn't correct because all the tabs are done from video. Trust us, just play the one on the site.

By the way...

DMBTabs...welcome to it.

Code: Select all

Verse

See finger chart for this section

E:-------------------------------------
B:-5h7--7----5--3/5--5---3-------------
G:-7----7----7--2/4--4---2-------------
D:-------------------------------------
A:-------------------------------------
E:--------------------------3---2---x--
is that not exactly what you're playing in the video? except you ring the D string? kanter just didn't put the zero up there. he does the same with other chords like A and E and D. he doesn't put that note there most of the time. just like in BOWA, i like to ring the A string, its just something you have to feel.

i'm not trying to be rude or anything, i'm just confused on why you say his tab is wrong...when really, its not wrong, its just missing somethign that can be felt and added as you see fit.

o. guess i didn't notice it before. i always play it with the D (sus i think) hammer on to the full D chord. much easier, and its the exact same notes.
