Two Step question

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Two Step question

Unread post by Mindsmoke » Wed Mar 05, 2003 4:11 am

the 2step bridge/fill below is a tough little bugger to make sound right. i got the rythem just fine, but putting together the strum pattern with the right strings is throwin me.

if you just downstroke the E,A strings, then up/down/up the G,D,A strings, the sound is constant, which isn't how the song sounds. there's something i'm not quite gettin.

:?: anyone have a really good way of explaining how to do it right?

Bridge/Fill
E:-----------------------
B:-----------------------
G:-10----10--10--10--10--
D:-x-----x---x---x---x---
A:-8-----x---x---8---8---
E:-10----6---8-------10--

i sy jsut listen to a cd to try and get it. that's the best way to get a rhythm down. you could download my cover from my AIM get file. It may help you out some. Less instruments to have to hear through. Feel free.
Peace,
