dreams of our fathers

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

dreams of our fathers

Unread post by lordmelt » Wed Feb 26, 2003 9:01 pm

i know some people dont like this tune, and the everyday disc,(also, i think if dave had no previous work and everyday came out lots of people would have a different opinion) but anyways, i recently submitted a tab to kanter of this tab today, i have too see if its approved, but, if anyone wants to check out an early version, here it is:(i dont have one part tabbed quite yet, its hard to hear, but its only a small part anyways)
Section 1
intro/verse
he plays this(or should i say i do), and when you hear the "this gold im digging out" I play the B i have shown off to the right

Code: Select all

E--2-----0-------5---------5---------3------- E--x (I see that it didnt
A----1-----2----------------------2-----2---5 A--2 paste the best,
D------4------4-----7---4-----5-------------- D--4 but i think you
G-------------------------------------------- G--4 get the picture)
B-------------------------------------------- B--x
e-------------------------------------------- e--x
i believe occassionally on this part that when he
starts the riff over he leaves out the first note
the ground beneath is nothing more than one point of view

well, any suggestions would be great, on the chorus, i was contemplating moving the 4 on play on the d string down to the g and leaving the D open, i guess we will see if any one has some ideas, dave has never played this one live so i was just checkin if i could thrown something down somewhat like it if anyone liked it

i thought i had the chorus tabbed to fit on the page, but it seems like it screwed up, its like it changes depending on whos computer i am using to read the post, but, if anyone really cares, the chorus is all single picking, no chords involved, hopefully i can get kanter to approve the tab so it goes on the site and i dont have to deal with the board probs i've been having
