Proudest Monkey

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Proudest Monkey

Unread post by sacdeez » Sat Oct 26, 2002 3:56 pm

I just wanted to see if anyone else plays Proudest Monkey by barring the fourth fret and just moving one finger. I saw the vid on here and it looked really complicated. I'm a beginner and I've been playing it a different way, any comments?

I played it that way becuase it's the way that Dave plays the song. That's just what I do w/ DMB songs. BUT, I also personally feel it is easier becuase barring for so long puts extra strain on the fingers. I see no need to bar when you can just move your fingers like I show in the video and not put the extra straing....oh well, to each his own...ENJOY!!!
