Im sorry for being off-topic, but wouldn't it be Awesome if dave recorded a complete studio version of this song for the new album. This has got to be one of his bests, and yet he never fully released it :(

How is that off topic. Its your own thread. Anyway, its not gonna happen since Dave said all of the songs would be written in the studio. Yea, that would be great, but It would be the same as it is live (but that would take away from the song being played live) or it would be butchered down (but what is the poin if it is only played live)

well there kinda is a studio version, LWS... it sounded studio to me.

Those werent ever going to be a CD anyway. I find that more live then anything else since its more of a jam session anyway.

Stefan said, when asked about the dissapearence JTR, he said that the band didn't feel the song anymore. They played it enough and got worn out to them, and most likely won't make a comback.

i always loved john the revelator, d+t. the whole band sort of blew the song out too much. plus timmy rocks in that song!
