The cutaway if very Gibson along with the Headstock. They make Epi's that look exactly the same.

I think I remember seeing this guitar in a pic once, it had stars on the fretboard (just like a Chet SST)

Sure it's not a Yamaha? I think he played something similar in a 1992 video I have...
EDIT: Definitely a Gibson -- just checked the headstock again. Sorry.

look, its not a gibson... the gibson guitars have the open biblie top to the head stock... this has similar (given most guitar companies try to replicate it) and the word gibson cant be seen, and since it would be in a nice bright pearl, its not a gibson.
