Can anyone help me with the chord changes in the intro? I get lost when it starts and stops. Thanks.

ok that helped some but i still need some more clarification. for the first 'D' he just strums it once? and then when it gets to the "ill come back again part" what exactly is going on. what are the single strums and pauses. is he just using the Am chord, but just breaking it up, or changing to a different chord each time. hope you can understand what i am asking.
