Play DMB as a band

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Play DMB as a band

Unread post by saiyasam » Wed Jul 28, 2004 4:26 pm

Anyone play DMB stuff as a band?

I've learned how to play some stuff on guitar and always play it on my own (or sometimes with another guitarist), but never with another drummer, bassist, and whatnot.

Just curious because I'm assuming it's lots of fun. Tell me it is.

I'd like to play Dave stuff in a band!!!
But it's very very very difficult to find someone that knows and plays DMB stuff there in Italy!!!!
And it's much more difficult to find a drummer like Carter Beuford!!!

yeah i was about to say the hardest part about playin DMB stuff is finding a drummer who can do carter-esque stuff.

Me and my band play their stuff constintly live. Great stuff. Im on guitar and vocals. another guy on lead who does boyds parts and piano doing lero's plus a bassist of course. We have had the privlidge to play with a violin and sax player a few times and that was really somthing for me. We have an awsome drummer who plays Carters's stuff really well. Though, when we make the CD's we hand our/ sell, Im doing the drums. Im not gonna say why :cough: I think you can figure out why. Not bragging though, just saying.

My "band" has tried Satellite, but it sounds better when it's just me on acoustic and the singer. Same thing with All Along the Watchtower, dave style, but it doesn't sound good without the drums and are drummer is no Carter, Carter rules

i play with a drummer, bass, and sometimes lead guitar in place of violin and sax. i do guitar and vocals. its so fun. if i may say so myself.

in fact, we meant to record a cover CD this summer, but i didn't start working until yesterday, so i didnt' have enough money, but hopefully over christmas we'll record it. i'm stoked.

we've played before at some graduation parties and battle of the bands. and we're hopefully doing a jam session at a bar next sunday. we'll see. i've done it there solo before but most people bring drums and stuff too
