crush chorus question
when I play the chorus in crush, the 12 on the G string seems to ring too much and drown out the other two strings. I just wondered if anyone had the same problem and could help me out with maybe a different technique or an alternate way to play it (i've already checked the last two posts on crush). Maybe there's a fret you could also hit on the low D string that'll make the sound a bit lower, or something. any help is welcome................this has always been a hard part to play

Re: crush chorus question
I don't mind that G note ringing through the chorus. maybe its more noticeable on your guitar, I don't know. You can play open chords for it if you want to - F, G, C, G....gravesRR7 wrote:when I play the chorus in crush, the 12 on the G string seems to ring too much and drown out the other two strings. I posted the last Crush thred on the same topic because the chorus was really given me a hard time too. I also noticed the G string kind of drawning out the rest of the notes but I found that if you can mute the Low E string (D in this case) and strum a little harder on the A & D strings, it blends and sounds a lot better. This may sound wierd, but you can easily mute it with the palm of your strumming hand alternatively. Billywestom (hope you don't mind the reference) has a great audio of Crush, check it out here, its very helpful!
