#28 tab

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

#28 tab

Unread post by firedancer86 » Mon Oct 21, 2002 9:39 pm

"Destiny" to those of you who know it...anybody play it differently? I want to know if I'm playing right (I know I'm not-I just want to see if it sounds good).

Riff 1 (E-3-3 slap serves as bridge back into riff 1 after 2 and 3)

e---------------------------------------------
B--------------------------------------------
G--------------------------------------------
D------------2--->-->---9------7---5------
A------------2--->-->--10------9---7-----
E---3--3----0-------------------------------

Riff 2

e----------------------------------
B----------------------------------
G-----9-----8---------------------
D-----9-----9---------------------
A-----x-----x---------------------
E-----7-----7---------------------

Riff 3

e-----0-------0-------0------------------
B-----0-------0-------0------------------
G-----8-------9------11-----------------
D-----9------10------12----------------
A-----6-------7-------9-----------------
E-----7-------8-------10---------------

Tell me what you guys think please...I want to get a good tab for it. Thanks!

It is my best shot at it...

That's how I play it except I add the 5 in the first chord:

e---------------------------------------------
B--------------------------------------------
G--------------------------------------------
D---5--5----2--->-->---9------7---5------
A------------2--->-->--10------9---7-----
E---3--3----0-------------------------------

It just gives it a fuller sound, I never really play the rest of it but it sounds good. I love jamming this song with friends...

P.S. I'm pretty sure this is the right way to play it or at least VERY close because the 4-5-92 video shoes his hands and they are on those frets

this is the crappy sounding (quality wise)mp3 that many DMB fans have...download it...it sounds nothing like Drive In Drive Out.
