monkey see monkey doo!!!

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

I've been listening to some dave and timmy solo performances lately. ive always been one of the few that believe proudest monkey is musically fascinating, however, jkanter, or anybody else could help me..are there any variations yal know about that can substitute the sites version of proudest monkey. they seem to simple and i am hearing dave play some really cool chords here. thx guys, Bo

no, dave pretty much plays the same chord the whole time, occasionally mixing up the strumming pattern but all the while keeping it the same chord. tim absolutely destroys that song though, one reason why i love it so much. someone, i think elliott, posted a different way to play it, capoed at the first fret. its on the main proudest monkey page.

i don't know man, i think he actually got a life. i don't see him around here at all anymore. he'll post like once or twice and ill have to like try and remember who the hell it is. he used to be here like everyday, but he seems to have cut back on the boards quite a bit.

yeah, last semester and over Christmas break I had a lot of free time, now I'm more busy with classes and such and also less focused on DMB lately, but I'm around a bit and it's not like I've totally disappeared...the boards seem a little slow lately as far as stuff that interested me. I've been so focused on writing and recording new stuff lately it's just kinda taken over. I am working on more stuff along the lines of my proudest monkey variation and I would encourage the original poster to check that out and more than anything work out some of your own stuff for it. In the tab I posted in the one section I listed a few scales that you could go on...just mess around and have fun!!!

glad to hear from you...i've actually noticed the same thing about the boards lately, we used to have some great threads, but as of recently it's been kinda boring. oh well. on another note, are you going to see sexton at michigan theatre gcom? (that's like a mile from my house!! :D )
