Tim's part in Rapunzel?
Has anybody heard the acoustic Dave+Tim version of rapunzel? Tim does some great fills and stuff, just wondering if anybody had tab or tips to make the Dave arrangement sound fuller... thanks

So not tabs, but when I play it solo, I'll often quit with the staccatto and start hitting the actual chords.
I'm doing this without a guitar, so I might be off.
Sometimes go staccatto, sometimes strum. Occasionally Dave plays the jam chords during the verse part, which helps as well, but other than that, I really mess around with the strumming, syncopation, fills, etc. Also, when playing the chorus, it helps to play:
Then rock the jam as hard as you can.
Also, during the bridge/opening riff, sometimes it helps to hit an open A when beginning the riff and then close it to a D on the fifth fret to give it more of a bass sound. Vary between that and sliding an E on the seventh fret down to a D to change it up. It makes it sound fuller, if you understand what I mean.
Code: Select all
e -x--x--x---x
B -x--x--x---x
G -4--5--2---5
D -5--5--3---5
A -x--3--x---3
E -3--x--1---x

Well, instead of
You could just slam a C to an Em on that portion. But I don't know Tim's part, man.

I haven't played the guitar in months, but I think that this was a possible way to add a second part. I can pull out the guitar later tonight and correct/confirm my post. If anyone has the LiC tab book, I think that it is listed in there. Hope that this helps.

This is right on the money based on the version that I've listened to. It also opens up some other possibilities in that song.
Thanks
