I assume there are Theory Tycoons on this website. Lets see who is the Sheriff in town? Who is the Grande Afficionado? What key is What Would You Say?

I would say A as well...simply because that first note is a 3/5. The 5 appears to be the real first note of the song, and therefore the starting point.

But I'm a novice compared to most of the peeps on this board, so...take it for what it's worth.

The pre-chorus riff is in a key of C if I am not mistaken. It has the IV, V, and iii note of C. However this is probably just a key change and not what the song is really in. Just solo on top of it using the first position of a major scale and see what sounds right. By the way I think that the whole song is in A.
If your friend is already dead, and being eaten by vultures, I think it's okay to feed some bits of your friend to one of the vultures, to teach him to do some tricks. But ONLY if you're serious about adopting the vulture.

Where do you see a G#? There's plenty of G's in ther which are not diatonic to A. The verse riff and chorus (or pre chorus) both end on a G whereas the A chord isn't even held for a beat. All sign's point to G.

Oh, I just glanced at the key signature from the L@LC book. My bad if it's a mistake.

Well...what was the key signature? Tell us how many sharps there are and we can put this one to bed.
