Unread post by seekup41 » Wed Mar 17, 2004 4:40 pm

Does anyone have any ideas for amp settings that I could use for the various dmb songs? If you could give me some feedback it would be greatfully appreciated!!!
THanks a bunch!

Its clean acoustic for all except the few that are played on electrics (fool to think, If I had it all) and baritones(I did it, Angel Wha toyu are). If you have a wah wha pedal, it works great for the Too Much fills because they then sound like Butch's keyboard fills. If you can get yourself a processor, get one of those 5th effects where each note is doubled with the note 5 steps above. This works great for Two step because it sounds like live versions where the intro is just dave and boyd. Other wise make sure that the amp is not bass heavy, especially when acoustics are played on a rock amp, like mine. Keep the bass down so that the treble strings are easily heard.

For timmys parts, delay/swell effects are crucial for songs like Seek Up, Warehouse, Lover Lay Down, and Trouble. He otherwise plays clean acoustic or without too much distortion on an electric.

Ok thanks!!! Yeah I was more curious though about like the bass, middle, treble, high , low and gain on the amp settings to get a nice crisp sound and what not. I use an acoustic amp also.

I usually put bass at 8, mids at 3, and treble at 10 with a little bit of reverb.

I avoid reverb. I might have the bass at about 4 and the mids and treble around 7. My guitar, a Takamine EG-230, has always been extra bass heavy for some reason.

I would think that that part of it would depend on your particular guitar and pick-up system...
