tripping billies tab...

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

yeah....Everyone has told me that. The tab is basically right but I am working on figuring out what's wrong with the way I play it....Work in Progress it is...

Is it just me or do the tabs look REALLY small, i guess i could just copy and paste and make em bigger but its kind of a hassle. Great lookin site, i was wondering what was up with the best dave tab site id ever been to.

You are probably using a 1028 screen resolution. We are currently working on a script to increase the size of the tabs if you are using a higher screen resolution. It will set a cookie so it will only check it once. We can't do this until we get the http://www.dmbtabs.com name to our server so just wait.

I am fairly sure I play it the right way, its just the way he plays it in the Crash tab book, if you havent seen this version I could send it to you. It sounds perfect to me.

Hey, this is the coolest website ever. I have been DYING since the last one, dmbtabs , wouldn't come up for like over a month!!! It made my day when I found this now. But, just one thing....the absolute GREATNESS of the last site, like, the thing that made me learn everything so quickly was that you had recordings by Real Player and Windows Media above many of the Tabs....where are they now?????Am I just not seeing them??? Help! Please put those back.....or if you're still workin on em... that different.

Thanks so much for this site. i love it

whats the deal with this site? its not the same content as the old dmbtabs site. the old dmbtabs had the right tab for tripping billies it was something like this for the verse:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
------6--4-/-6-0--------------------------4-h-5-p-4----------------------
------2------------------- 7-7------------------------------------9--9------
---------------------3/5--5-5---------7--------------------------9--9------
-5----------------------------------8------------------------3/7-7--7-------

then the next part is the same with the ywo differetn chords at the end.

the first part int he verse is based off the big old tripping billies chord.

I would like to preface this with saying that this site IS NOT THE OLD DMBTABS.COM. It is jkanters(my site) with a completly redesigned interface to make it a lot more user friendly and look a lot nicer.

On that note, Watch Storytellers....Watch Dave's hands in the first verse(which is one of the few you can see them in)....then Watch my Video. Tell me which tab you think is better.....I know it doesn't sound as good because I didn't mute as much and I didn't keep the 8 ringing, but just watch the hands....My video is a little faster because I am playing more towards the speed of full band...watch em side by side....peace

I dunno. I remember watching storytellers and a couple other videos of him playing with it. I believe the old dmbtab had it right. I can go back and check to make sure where Dave is sticking his hand but im like 97% sure that he doesnt play it like that.

I usually take stuff off the web and then change it to VCD so I can play it on my DVD player on my big TV. Then I can slow and pause or whatever. I'll check it tonight. I have him playing TB at some other places as well to cross check it.

If you think that sounds best than that is the tab you should go with. My site is here to guide you. I personally believe I am putting the best tabs out there but if something else sounds better...USE THAT!!! I am not telling you guys how to play, I am just showing you what I believe Dave plays. I am 100% for everyone enjoying playing and if you enjoy playing more with the other tab, than go ahead and use it.....I mean I ain't gonna come to your house and kick your ass because you aren't using my tab.....OR AM I

Bottom line, enjoy the site, use what you want....if you like something better use that because there is no use playing something you don't think sounds good.....lata

after u play the d chord (x-5-7-7), then do 8-7-, its actually a slide on the g string, watch storytellers, and you'll see he slides his index finger up and doesnt hammer on
