So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Dave had plenty of good "singles", other than those.

i don't think dave really fits into the radio-friendly category outside of the whole everyday album.

True, although I have this radio station I listen to out of Haveral Mass., and they play some old DMB. Billies, Ants, you know the good old stuff, but are also found playing Grace is Gone and Where Are You Going, as well.

that's nice. most of the radiostations here are playing rap and punk, and sometimes pop who try to sound like techno.
there are a few cool college radio stations here, though. i just moved to a place where the local music scene is huge. i got that, at least, albeit no friends.

I dont really care if the band puts out good singles. As long as the album is quality, does it really matter?

True the JaDaRu, but for instance. BTCS, best album they ever did in my opinion, put out 3 good songs, Dont Drink the Water, Stay, and Crush. Why couldnt he do that with everyday? Everyday was the only good single off that album. They coulda put out If I Had it All or Fool to Think, not I Did It.

I realize what you're saying, but for Dave fans who will buy the record anyways, which song the "single" happens to be is truly inconseqential.

this is cool.....maybe dave could join the boards....thom posts on the radiohead board, and adam posts on the counting crows board....(sometimes)
"Forget about what you are escaping from," he said, quoting an old maxim of Kornblum's. "Reserve your anxiety for what you are escaping to."

Your right, in that perspective, I have every single CD hes ever put out. Im trying to say that, Dave must want a whole new fan base, or needs more money for touring or something, cause I Did It was screaming mainstream.

Haha I don't think dave needs more money for touring. Besides are the singles chosen even chosen by the band, or is it all record companies these days?

Well, it hasta be the record companies because Dave would never release those songs on Everyday. RCA prob told him to so they could get more money from him. Never really thought about it that way. Damm Vultures!
