The song to end all songs!!!!

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Wow...this might be the hardest post ever.

I love "The Stone." That is such a great song when Dave is playing solo or with Tim. It conveys the idea of the song with the sound, and the chorus is so sweet. #34 has a special place in my heart because I associate it with something very great that happened in my life. The same goes for #41 but that one has much more meaning to it. Typical Situation from L@LC...Tim's solo....aaaaggghhhhh ::drooling::

Ok...I said too much...

Have fun everyone else.
I love you oh so well, like a kid loves candy and fresh snow.

off the top of my head w/out much thinking, I'm going to say Grace is Gone...some of his best lyrics, absolutely beautiful music, etc. etc. etc...definitely not the BS version of it though...

I don't know if I'd say that I focus more on lyrics as much as the whole package...I think everything should be clear and concise as in the lyrics should fit the melody w/out having to force it, the melody should fit the song, the song should be balanced and melodic along with tight and concise, and having lyrics that truly move you on top of all that seals the deal and that's why I think Grace is Gone probably wins in my book. It's all there in that song. And 9/4/00...amen.

another reason I say Grace is Gone...while everyone else is going to the carpe diem songs and such and I'm hanging on with this downer song, I look at the sheer quality and emotion in this song combined with the technical perfection of it in just about every aspect, and this song makes me want to write! I want to write the Grace is Gone...the song that truly moves you. Pig is amazing and it's basically my favorite DMB song and it can inspire me and pick me up, but it doesn't make me want to do anything really. It's just a nice little pick me up every now and again. Songs like Grace is Gone make me want to write songs that move like that...

The folsom feild version of bartender is really intense and powerful when you turn it up really loud, especially during the scat part (4:30 - 6:07) 8)

i really like pig too for the same reason, but i'd have to say my favorite is minarets, just for the sheer creativity in both music and lyrics

Personally, it's #41. But almost all of their songs will get you in one way or another...
