whats do you think the hardest single part of any dave song?

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Sadly, for me, I'm still having trouble with that Rhyme and Reason riff.

Yikes.

that riff is pretty tough, takes a while
"If at all God's gaze upon us falls, it's with a mischievous grin."

"I live on the corner of Grey St. and the end of the world."

I'm working on the verse to Stone right now, very confusing to try to sing and play that, I keep wanting to continue with the intro thing instead of the verse....

I had problems with that for a little bit, but if you listen closely, you can hear when Dave strums the Gm on the album. Once you get that, just learn to count it.

Sad thing is, pretty much any other song is no problem for me.

I have yet to hear someone on these boards that performs at that level. I'm sure a few could after several years of performing live. It's the difference between amateur and professional, simple as that.
I am too busy being myself to waste my life away mimicing..

I agree. I can sing and play every song I know at the same time with the exception of Bjorks "Anchor Song" (which is a bitch, believe me. The stretches in converting the sax part to guitar is ridiculous.)

I'll learn a song the way Dave plays it, but don't expect me to keep it that way very long. That's just boring.
