Apparently Dave has a Taylor T5

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

nice triple post... and when i say his current guitar is a shit, i dont mean the actual guitar, i mean for dave. ive played 914ce's myself nicest thing ive played, and i know yours is like the ones ive played, but daves uses just a standard fishman pickup and it doesnt cut through it, and it has a sound that seems too bright and shrill on it... a 914 with the es, or just unpluged is very deep and bassy.

i love the guitar, but for dave with the config he has on it... i just dont like it.

Carter has to be there or else that stick is floating in midair. Either way, that guitar is one of the coolest looking guitars I've ever seen. No idea how it sounds but I'll be glad when I see him use it this summer.

I dunno, maybe hes gotten sick of the Chet but wants something similar? I dunno, but I've never been a huge fan of the Chet anyways.
