Does Dave always play high?

I think he'd be goofy without pot.

Geez, let the man have a personal life. Truth is, even if he told us himself, we still really wouldn't know if he smoked it up before every show. We can speculate all we want....

Presumably Tripping Billies and Jimi Thing are all about drugs.....whoohoo whatever....the songs are as old as the band. It doesn't necessaily mean they still hit it - remember they all have families now. Maybe they grew up and some of us should do the same.

Also, point, using Dave's "goofy" nature as evidence for him doing drugs is moot since he has proven himself an able actor. All sorts of people act goofy on stage...anyone catch the half-time show on the superbowl tonight? Dave's tame compared to that hyped up crap. Those people are paid waaay too much.

Storytellers - anyone ever been up all night? It can have the same effect on how you act and look the next day. I've had my share of all nighters for work/school. I know this. Maybe he was just hungover from a night of drinking - we've ALL done that.

I'm not usually bitchy but I'm tired of the drugs being such a big damn deal. If you're into that thing than good for you - to each his own. But I'm so annoyed at every show I attend or have on tape the whole crowd goes ape over a drugs reference. It's so....childish. Leave the drug-slinging to the politicians...

I would have to agree with that sometimes, but for When the World Ends, they quiet down, and dave looks out into the audience leeringly singing, "We'll be burning one."

I have actualy never been high, or drunk. I have had second hand pot, and I get a headache, and I hate the smell. I also hate the taste of alcohol. And taking them would affect my anti-depressants, as well as alcoholism runs in my family, so I stay away. I don't care if others do it just not around me, I just feel uncomfortable.

if u look on kazaa for a video of dave at a ymca charity event, he is quite obviously on something, or hes just had a lot to drink, its like a 25 second clip of him attempting to dance to the ymca video, its hilarious.

He acts goofy probbaly partially cuz he's nervoue and it's soe peoples way of dealing with nervousness. I'm sure he probly smoked up before shows in past years, but I doubt he does it alot now before shows.

wow, since everyone quoted me, i think i should point out the smiley face. i know dave is naturally goofy and i was making a joke....hahaha.

i got a cover of riders on the storm by dmb and dave starts the song "its a cold motherfucker right now, its cooollld and i'm fucked up" Then he repeats that he's fucked up a few more times. Probably doesn't pertain but i find it amuzing
