I don't have to show you any stinkin' badges!
Forget about the reasons and the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away

You don't get it. Its a quote from the movie Treasure of the Sierra Madre. This Mexican police dude is talking to Humphery Bogart and Bogart askes to see his badge.

alright, if anyone's still interested, I know I should've responded before the thread got away, but here's what I do.

instead of what's tabbed on the site here:

Code: Select all

E:-------0---3/5--5--3--2--0--0-----------3--
B:-------1---1/3--3--3--2--0--1-----------0--
G:-------0---0----0--x--3--3--0-----------0--
D:-------2---2/4--4--4--4--4--2-----------0--
A:-0--2--3---3/5--5--5--5--5--3--2--0-----2--
E:-------------------------------------2--3--
      2 X 2 2
I play this:

Code: Select all

E:-------0---3/5--5--3--2--0--0-----------3--
B:-------1---1/3--3--3--3--3--1-----------0--
G:-------0---0----0--2--2--2--0-----------0--
D:-------2---2/4--4--0--0--0--2-----------0--
A:-0--2--3---3/5--5-----------3--2--0-----2--
E:-------------------------------------2--3--
      2 X 2 2
there's a bit of a difference. I just don't like that 3 on the g string. and leaving out the 4 on the D string (F# note) doesn't make enough difference for me to play it that way. I just use the standard D formation that I showed here.
good, and you?

right on.

I consider myself pretty picky soundwise on Dave songs, and the way I play it is the closest I can get to what it sounds like.

hope it works for ya.
good, and you?
