Dave by NO MEANS meant to tune his guitar down a half step or anything. As someone stated above....he says it's "out of tune for effect" All he's saying is he can't tune by ear and if it's out of tune....who gives a shit :) BUT, just so everyone here knows.....until Before These Crowded Streets, EVERYTHING Dave has played....well live or on an album that we've all heard, has been in STANDARD.....LATA

It's the recording software that was used for that video, dropped everything by half a step.
Well at least im pretty sure it's that, I once recorded something on my buddy's old pc and it when i played it back everything was half a step lower......... probably the same thing..

me neither. i thought he wanted to make sure he hit all of his own notes. time after time i see these artists doing songs and they can't hit their notes and im like ITS YOUR SONG!!! DROP IT HALF A STEP!!!

so i figured that was what he was doing. but if you say it isn't kanter, i believe you.
