Stay or Leave with capo

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

can't wait to get home - i'll have two at the same place finally, and my shitty ibanez is going straight into raised b
it sounds good in theory, then you do it, play the same two songs for 3 days, and say "alright, now what"
there are actually 3 dave songs... not that thats many but hey... 150%

I thought You Never Know was in B, not raised B

I think there are more. Isnt the baritone tuning, the same tuning as raised B. He has many songs w the baritone guitar. Isnt raised B tuning, the same as baritone tuning, but on an acoustic. If this is true, then there are about 6-10 songs in this tuning, elec or acoustic. Or maybe im wrong............anyone????

Well, to answer my previous post ---Yeah, i found out that baritone tuning is the same as raised b tuning. So any song played w his baritone can be played on acoustic in raised B tuning. songs like somedevil, space between, i did it, what you are, the song after Oh on SD, busted stuff, plus YKN, StayorLeave, Oh. I think there are a few more.

peace tim

yeah, i forgot that they are an octave apart. But same notes, strings. Try playing a baritone song, on an acoustic in raised b. Should have the right sound. Peace

I find that I like dave's raised B songs played in standard tuning a lot better, for one reason I can sing better in E than in B, so I just play the songs on a standard guitar the way I would on a Raised B guitar. I particularly like Oh in E much better.

just my two cents

I see what you are saying but I just think the capo takes so much away, listen to how you play it and then listen to it on Some Devil. I gurantee they aren't the same, Dave's sounds a lot better cause the notes ring so much longer.

Busted Stuff is not in a raised B/baritone guitar. Dave uses the open E tuning for it.
