How does he do it?

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Write exactly what happened. Don't try to write poetry, that'll just come. Lyrics and poetry are two totally different things.

Look at the Postal Service, especially The District Sleeps Tonight, to see what I mean.
