My Dad's best friend and his friend do a acoustic duo called Kydd & Byrd. They are very good, and Dale Kid (my dad's friend) is a great guitarist. They play localy. Also, I have to say, I do not like Tenacious D, and I've only liked Jack Black in School of Rock.
how about an acoustic trio? Crosby, Stills, and Nash, now they are good!

I thought that School of Rock was Jack's worst role yet. I loved Shallow Hal!

If your friend is already dead, and being eaten by vultures, I think it's okay to feed some bits of your friend to one of the vultures, to teach him to do some tricks. But ONLY if you're serious about adopting the vulture.

I'd also nominate Eric Clapton and Duane Allman of Derek and the Dominos.
John and Paul of the Beatles weren't bad (though I'm not a huge fan of their music).
Neil and Tim Finn of Crowded House or Neil Finn and Craig Hooper of Crowded House (before Tim Finn joined them).
Shit, I almost forgot ... Cesar Rojas and David Hidalgo of Los Lobos and since the entire Gipsy Kings group seems to play guitar, I'm nominating all of them.

If you haven't seen him (or don't even know who he is) I highly recommend Richie Havens. He was the guy that opened the original woodstock and still tours heavily. He is an amazing strummer (pick guards on both sides of the sound hole) and travels with a great soloist.
He actually plays a lot of covers so you would recognize a lot of it. I heard him do a nice version of David Gray's "Please Forgive Me" a little while back.
check out the tour dates if you get a chance richiehavens.com

They are an insane duet...I had the privelege of seeing one of the first performances of "High Tide or Low Tide" that they did together. It was one of the best covers I have ever heard. Their voices go so well together, and Ben Harper's slide guitar over Jack Johnson's perfect rhythm make one of the best combinations possiblecpowell21 wrote:Jack and G.Love is a good one.
