Taylor actually bought an orchard of grafted walnut a while back. maybe they used that on all the 700 limiteds they made last year.
grafted walnut is a mixture of claro walnut and english walnut genetically (maybe thats the right word) grafted together. claro alone can provide a warm deep tone, but can lack highs. thats where the english walnut comes in and improves it. or so ive heard.
