i don't look down on it...but i don't use one....some friends i play with think it's stupid to use a capo, but ya know, to each his own, i just figure you can just as well play it in a different key

dave doesn't need a capo cuz he just has several guitars that he can put in whatever tuning he wants

what does that have to do with using a capo?

i think he's just good enough to play in any key he wants 8)

someone needs to take reading lessons lol. He doesn't need a capo because he can just have additional guitars set up in different keys.... Because a capo is used to change the tuning on a guitar without having to manually retune each string. Therefore, if Dave has someone manually tune several guitars to different tunings, he will not need to use a capo. Ya follow me?

the only additional tunnings i've heard of dave using is drop d and raised B. both can be by emulated with capos but when they are they are limiting.

a capo is used so you WON'T have to retune your guitar if you want to play in another key but want to keep the same chord shapes. i don't know of anyone who retunes different guitars so they won't have to use a capo...because it's stupid
