Taylor 110 or Ibanez AW100

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Let me explain my dilemma in a little more detail.
First off---yes, most of the 110's were like the one I described---but they all came straight out of the box. I had the guy unpack them brand new. Now another thing, I have noticed reviews of this guitar from other people (not same store necesarrily) who described similar problems. However, I have gone to stores where the neck and frets were smooth as silk. The action being high just seems universal for this model for some reason no matter where I go. I agree with you totally that it is insane for me to pay money to set-up a brand new guitar that should already be set up. But---as far as the action goes--I called Taylor and they are willing to pay Guitar Center to set it up to spec for me! Now that's customer service! But I am glad you told me not to let them file down the frets. I am waiting on one to come in that is smooth. The reason I am not simply going to another store and buying one that is in good condition to begin with is because I am only paying $435 for this guitar brand new with a $70 hardshell case for free, if I buy from this particular guy at this particular store. Saving about two hundred dollars. Then again--I could get the Ibanez AW100 new for only $200. And it plays perfect straight out of the box. But the Taylor sounds much better. Thus my current dillemma.

What are your thoughts on comparing these two and/or my situation as descibed above. Thank you for your help,

Brandon

Seriously, for that kind of a deal on a taylor, you shouldnt pass it up. Besides, that is probably how much the Taylor should probably cost. Get the Taylor, itll probably last you longer. I played one at guitar center and I thought about getting it, its a real nice guitar
