How important is proper technique on Billies?

i wouldnt say how you finger it matters to sound, its your hands position.

honestly, your fingering does not change the sound of the song. there can be no logical belief that because you use different fingers to play notes that those notes will somehow sound different. i dont care if you play a G with your pinky or a broom handle, it sounds the bloody same!
