I was watching Central Park and HOLY SHIT!!!

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

do you think that the rest of DMB is just trying to block out the fact that Boyd is not at the same level of musicianship? I mean, if a bunch of kids on the internet can hear it, I would assume they would know too. DO you think it has ever been brought up between the band?...I mean, they had to have heard one live tape of themselves where Boyd was out of tune. DO you think they are just living with it, because they have just gone on too long and too far with Boyd?
I mean it makes me cringe sometimes, kinda like when I play my covers back to myself :D ...but hey, I AIN'T playing at Central Park either! I'd really like to hear the band with another violinist.

Itzak Pearlman.
Forget about the reasons and the treasons we are seeking
Forget about the notion that our emotions can be swept away, kept at bay
Forget about being guilty, we are innocent instead
For soon we will all find our lives swept away

it bothers me that there is the possibility of this rift in the band... i wish they were all like best pals... i read in rolling stone..some member said that "what you see on stage isn't a bunch of buddy-buddies. its five different individuals pulling together to make something work" :?

i have the 9/7/02 dvd (i think that's the date) and boyd was way off on his little picking solo in two step. i noticed that dave gave him a look but looked back immediately like he didn't mean to look over there in the first place. so yea, they hear it definetly...but how do you tell someone you've played w/ for years that they aren't trying anymore. i don't think it's that boyd is at the same level though, i think it's that he isnt' trying anymore. he just doesn't care.

dunno bout that one, app. on the people in the news dave special. Boyd said "theres nothin more fun then being up on stage and jamming with the dave matthews band." from a month or so ago. and boyd always goes the craziest in his solos.

well then what could be the excuse? i mean, he just simply isn't in tune. i heard someone on the boards talking aout how he just stands around between songs now and never tunes. the concert i went to, he was just off. i have a great example if you wanna hear it, 7/11/02 Pig. it's horrible, he's almost an entire half step out. it can't be that he's less of a musician. cause he was a lot better back in the day. eh....who knows?

Listen to Red Rocks....Boyd sounds amazing....but I heard that they had to really mess with/fix Boyd's tuning when the were producing the album...which I do not doubt. But what was the rest of DMB be thinking when they heard the show in it's purity? Was Boyd embarrassed? Seriously...

Hey Apps....I'd like to see the face Dave makes at Boyd at the 9/7/02 show...I didnt really see anything out of the ordinary from Dave at CP....well, maybe Dave was looking at Boyd with irritation on Nancies....also, that's cool and all to jam out, but Boyd is all over Dave's nuts when they jam....If I were Dave I would find it irritationg from time to time...Boyd needs to back off a tad IMO.

I was watching this again last night and I thought "is there something up between these guys?" Dave did give a very hateful look towards Boyd so it seemed... it was just a quick death stare... you know when someone looks at you stone faced and you're like "ok, who the f are you and why are you looking at me like that?"... And Stefan just looked like he didn't give two shits about the fact that they were playing to 100,000 people at the Great Lawn in Central Park!!.. http://www.whatthef*#@k.com... LeRoi was just as expressionless as usual... Dave was happy at times, angry at times, sad at times... just all over the emotional spectrum of facial expressions. Carter, well Carter may as well be Santa Clause he always looks so damn full of joy. He may just be the happiest facial characteristic guy on the face of the planet. Butch looked pretty stoked too. I'm pretty stoked ... I finally payed enough attention to find myself on the video.. yahoo!.. I realized that every time that there is a Dave-view shot of the audience there I am... If you see a guy wearing an Australian Outback Croc Hunting hat that's me.. yahoo! I'm on a video, wish I was standing next to the blonde everyone was talking about.. haha..
