Warehouse --> Louie Louie

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

my point is not that dave is not a creative guitarist and writer, its that he did use some of his musical influences in his own songs and it is obvious i.e. the stone totally goes into the music for "falling in love". this is no way a flame of any sort. i started this thread because i thought it was interesting not because i thought dave was a copy-cat or not creative. dave fuking rules.
1. I would guess that the "thats my blood down there" part of warehouse was inspired by the song "that's my blood down there"

2. As far as Recently and Warehouse sounding like other songs, its probably because they are rock and roll songs, and use rock and roll progressions. the riffs are different but of course the progressions dave uses are going to have been used before. I really like how he throws in lyrics from other songs w/ the same progressions though.

3. The warehouse ending, or louie louie, are i-iv-v-iv. about 6 million gazillion other songs are too. which is what makes so many outros fit, like louie louie or shortnin bread.
