from what I saw @ the Woodlands show last weekend and various YouTube videos...

On the verse Dave slides further up the neck right after Em...I don't have a raised B guitar so I'm playing on Capo 7 and can't reach up as far- this verse is probably wrong but sounds okay, and the prechorus and chorus are solid. The timing on the chorus is a bit tricky- check out the partial 4.19 video on YouTube to get it right when you play it.

Not sure if this is in standard or drop D; even though its lowest note is a low E, it still may be in drop D because that E can be muted more easily if it's fretted than if it's open. II'll throw this out there for Squirm.

First DMB tab I've tried (haven't had the need, everything else has already been posted), so it's a little shaky, but I'll throw it out there because this song is so good.


The verse seems pretty simple, I won't call it perfect, but it's close.

Not positive about the chorus. I tried a few "Dave chords" and they sound okay...

As for the jam, I wish you guys good luck!

anyone come up with anything for "my baby blue" yet? its probably almost the same little riff from sister but the is some different parts in this song and i cannot figure it out :( . I dunno if anyone else has had the same luck i have had with downloading the "unfinished" version of big whiskey but its out there :wink: thats where i heard this song lol. thanks in advance if anyone comes up with anything!

I edited my Why I Am tab after watching a good quality video from the New Orleans Jazz Fest. They actually zoom in on Dave's guitar after he sings the "Groogrux King" line, so this should be pretty accurate now.

Garntd-

What fingering are you using for the intro/verse on You & Me? Do you use fingers 1 and 2 for --42- so that you can just put fingers 3 and 4 down for --54-? That method wasn't coming naturally to me, so I thought I'd ask.

Nice job with the tab.

Does anybody know what the main page is not being updated but the board and site are still active? Everything is easy to find. Just curious.

I actually use my 1st and 3rd fingers for the 42 part, then just slide to the 54 part with the same fingers. That way I can still use my second finger to fret the base note when I need to. Dunno if that's how Dave plays it but it works for me.

(Lots of extra muted strums and stuff, but that's the general idea.)

Notice that the second time through, the 3 2p0 part isn't played before the F and G chords.  The F and G chords last longer to compensate.




There's a lot of other instruments and parts going that sound lower than that, though, so I think on your own it sounds better to do the riff an octave lower, in standard tuning.

So, standard tuning version:
