who else plays like dave?

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

to mute or not to mute

That is the question here right?
does it really matter? It sounds fuller to let the d string ring out when playing alone. It's hard to completely mute that string when your strumming, so even if a little D gets out its fine really.

on second thought, I'm pretty sure Dave mutes it.
