Ok, this is me being a super guitar noob

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

And you may run into things called pull-offs, which are the exact opposite of hammer-ons in that instead of hitting a note and then 'slapping' your finger down on a higher fret, you play a note, then yank your finger off the note, landing on a lower note.
My bad...but slides are usually noted w/ slashes"/ or " Pull-offs are "p"s.

^^^^^!!!! LOW

i started by just learning his songs. that was about two years ago. I started out by playing #34. I think because it was the first song in the scroll bar. But listen to whoever said it. Get that book, BC it would have made things a tad easier.

Also, if you refuse to take our advice play a few simpler songs, eg. Proudest Money. That is the easiest song IMO. It will also boost your confidence. DO NOT start on Satellie. That is a difficult song to play. If anything that will CRUSH your confidence. But learn the basics and youll be fine. Oh yeah, AND STICK WITH IT. I have wanted to throw my guitar out the window MANY TIMES :D
